Graduated from Columbia University with a master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design, a diploma in Furniture Design from Danmarks Designskole (Copenhagen, 2000), and degrees in Architecture from the Autonomous University of Mexico (Mexico City, 2007) and Interior Architecture from ESAG Penninghen (Paris, 2001), where he received the "Meilleur Excellent" prize, awarded to the best student, the Penninghen prize for his thesis ("Idea Incubator”) and, 10 years later, the "Prix Met Penninghen" award for his career from 2001 to 2011.
At the end of his studies, he completed an internship in Tokyo at Nihon Sekkei, the largest architectural studio in Asia, and worked with the renowned designer Philippe Starck on hospitality projects such as the Clift Hotel in San Francisco and the Faena Hotel and Residences.
In 2003, in partnership with his brothers, he founded Grupo MYT. There, he headed MYT Diseño, the group’s architecture and design division, which was renowned for creating, developing, and operating gastronomic concepts in Mexico and the United States. In 2019, he partnered with architect Regina Galvanduque to create MYT+GLVDK.
His experience living in New York for 10 years, where he opened nine successful restaurants, as well as working and studying in Paris, Copenhagen, Tokyo, and Mexico City, have directly influenced the ideas behind his work, which includes designing over 50 restaurants, each of them with innovative, unique concepts, as well as hotels, furniture, and residential and cultural projects.
REGINA GALVANDUQUE

Architect Regina Galvanduque (Mexico City, 1984), Director of Experiences at MYT+GLVDK, specializes in the hospitality industry, conceiving creative and genuine concepts that combine Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture, Branding, Art, and Styling.

She studied Industrial Design at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and Product Design at Parsons School of Design in New York, where she received the Parsons Design Award. Her early professional experience included work at TEN Arquitectos in New York, establishing an international and multidisciplinary foundation for her career.
Galvanduque began collaborating with Andrés Mier y Terán in 2003. In 2011, she founded GLVDK in New York and embarked on a new chapter focused on hospitality and restaurant design. From 2011 to 2016, her work expanded across projects in New York and Mexico, and from 2016 onward the collaboration evolved in Mexico City, ultimately consolidating as MYT+GLVDK: an integrated practice bringing together architecture, interiors, industrial design, furniture, branding, and creative strategy.
As Creative Director, she leads the conceptual and narrative development of the studio’s projects. Her greatest strength lies in creating the DNA of hospitality and F&B brands—defining the story, visual universe, atmosphere, materials, objects, and touchpoints that allow each concept to feel coherent, singular, and memorable. Her approach treats design as a form of storytelling, connecting strategic clarity with emotional and sensory experience.
Throughout her career, Galvanduque has received numerous architecture and design awards. Her work has been widely published in international media, including Architectural Digest, ELLE Decor, Frame, and Dezeen, among many others around the world.
